Grateful Heart Charitable Foundation proudly announced that the Foundation received the Hong Kong Star Brand Award 2015 (Non-Governmental Organization), which recognizes the Foundation's contribution to the society over these eight years since its establishments.
Organized by Hong Kong Small and Medium Enterprises Association, a professional group which serves small and medium local firms, the Hong Kong Star Brand Award is issued annually to promote the sustainable development of the local market and economy as well as to foster the development of the domestic market and the building of private brands. In view of the growing emphasis on corporate social responsibility, the Hong Kong Star Brand Award (Non-Governmental Organization) is added this year to encourage commercial firms to collaborate with social welfare bodies on the interest of the weak.
This year marks the fourth anniversary of the Award. The Hong Kong Small and Medium Enterprises Association, supported by the Trade and Industry Department, the event co-organizers, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and the Hong Kong Productivity Council, and over 30 commercial institutions, held the official award ceremony on 17 November 2015, inviting Director-General of Social Work Sub-office of The Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong S.A.R Mr Yang Mao, President of the Legislative Council Mr Tsang Yok Sing Jasper, Acting Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development Bureau Mr Leung King Kwok Godfrey, Permanent Secretary for Labour and Welfare Ms Tam Kam Lan Annie and Chairman of Hong Kong Productivity Council Mr Lau Chin Ho Stanley to attend the event as officiating guests. The Foundation had much pleasure in receiving the award in the presence of the distinguished guests, and shall carry on with its work on supporting the needy and vulnerable and creating a caring society.
